中美文化差异并没有我想象的那么大……大概我已经西化得可以了？应该不会吧~~~~~~

早上的公交车有些晚点，幸好还是按时赶到！四个人来自UCD的不同部门给我们讲他们的工作之类之类，有个华人，女的，读过哥伦比亚的硕士，现在是NYU的PhD，心理学专业的，负责心理咨询之类的问题，听起来非常专业的感觉~难怪他们每天的日程都被学生们预订满了……相比之下，我实在不想多说啥~或许我不应该太苛刻，但至少我们应该承认并面对不足，天天喊着一流大学的口号帮不上什么忙！我也喜欢我的大学，但还谈不上爱吧，可至少目前为止Davis的学生还没有不爱她的！而且整个Davis几乎就是为了大学而存在的，这个我们不一样，也没法多说什么

然后是Walking Tour to Downtown Davis。Northern Bank is a famous local bank in California and now has 12 branches, all in CA. The most different part is that they rarely use bullet proof glass! Maybe, according to what the manager said, because they have very little cash outside-they are kind of not afraid of robbery: nothing to be robbed! I can tell that this might be a good idea to provide friendly atmosphere by letting tellers and customers face each other directly, and they do have more specific and more personal services aimed at individuals and small companies to make sure that they can survive in competition with those much bigger banks, such as bank of America. Actually, it does not even look like a "typical bank": too friendly and efficient...... Oh yes, the interest rates do float a lot! In fact the loan rates are even negotiable! How much a loan rate should be depends on how risky the loan will be and other similar aspects like records of a customer. And......they have gifts for people who have pursuid other people to deposit in there, and also other coupons.
